THE BEST
Richard Nixon stopped the war between USA and Vietnam.
In 1969 three men went to the moon.
Martin Luther King Jr. had the Nobel peace prize in 1964.
The Civil Rights Act was passed in 1965.

The WORST:
A lot of young people died in the Vietnam war in 1963 to 1968 over 59,000.
The Watergate Scandal in 1972.
Martin Luther King Jr. was shot and killed in 1968.
Kent State University – Students shot by police.

INTERESTING THINGS:
The Sears Tower in Chicago Illinois.
Fashion in the late 1960’s was the mini skirt.
Martin Luther King Jr March in Washington to end segregation in 1964………..

HIGHLIGHTS OF SPECIAL KENNEDY/BEATLES PROJECT: (Sara)

THE BEST:JOHN FITZGERALD KENNEDY WAS THE YOUNGEST MAN EVER ELECTED PRESDENT AND THE YOUNGEST TO DIE IN OFFICE.
“ASK NOT WHAT YOUR COUNTRY CAN DO FOR YOU-ASK WHAT YOU CAN
DO FOR YOUR COUNTRY”

THE WORST:
THE ASSASSINATION WHEN HE WAS TRAVELING IN A MOTORCADE IN DALLAS-TX.

WHAT IMPRESSED ME THE MOST WAS:
DURING HIS PRESIDENCY HE DID A LOT IMPORTANT THINGS.
JOHN KENNEDY IS BURIED IN ARLINGTON NATIONAL CEMENTERY WHERE AN ETERNAL FLAME BURNS OVER THE GRAVE.


THE BEATLES:
THE BEATLES CHANGED HISTORY AND THE MUSIC WORLD IN A DRAMATIC WAY. THEY WERE THE PREEMINENT GROUP FROM THE SIXTIES.
THEY WERE FROM LIVERPOOL, ENGLAND.
THE BEATLEMANIAWAS IN 1964 WITH 73 MILLION VIEWERS TUNING IN TO WATCH THE BAND PLAY ON TV ON THE ED SULLIVAN SHOW.
THEY WERE, JOHN LENNON, PAUL MCCARTNEY, GEORGE HARRISON AND, RINGO STARR.IN 1970 THEY WENT THEIR SEPARATE WAYS.
